Milestone Follower Fanmix Contest

So, it seems in the last few days, I’ve gotten more followers and that’s put me over another follower milestone. It’s been MONTHS since I did one of these, and let me tell you, I’m itching to do another one. This time around, I’ve got a lot on my writing plate, so I’m only doing a fanmix. But I love me a good fanmix, obviously. I’m not making promises, but depending on time and inspiration, I might do more than one. Here’s how I’d like to do it:

• To enter, like or reblog this post between now and let’s say, Friday the 23rd.
• I’ll pick a winner at random Friday night or Saturday
• If you win you’ll get a full fanmix from me, complete with cover art
• Fanmixes can be done for a wide variety of fandoms, though DA and ME fandoms are always near and dear to my heart. This also includes for original characters or stories, provided you can give me some info to work with.

UPDATE: As part of the N7 Nights contest EA & Raptr did last week, I won a cool prize!! I’m excited, so I’m going to pass a long the excitement and go ahead and bump this up to TWO fanmixes.

So earlier renegon posted something about trying to make a FemShep/Javik playlist and having a hard time picking songs and because my brain is what it is, I thought: CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.  Now, I realize this wasn’t really a challenge, but once the fanmix mojo is engaged, I can’t really shut it off.  So, this was born.  It’s short, and definitely not as finely tuned as most of my mixes, because lets face it, normally it takes me MONTHS to actually call a mix finished (and then I still add to them).  But, it is what it is, and I hope you enjoy it.

Because missl0nelyhearts is fucking amazing, and has made February 13th the day that we will all remember as the day of the Sugar Bitches, I made her (and all of you) a fanmix to commemorate the whole project.  If you haven’t seen her project, I’m not sure what rock you’ve been under today, but you should get on over there and see it in all it’s loveliness.

I tried my best to approach this as I would any other fanmix, and ignore standard genre conventions.  But, damnit, I demand some sort of Bechdel test for music in which female musicians sing about something that isn’t a) men or b) love.  Because I’m going to tell you that it is HARD, yo.  Super hard.

I have majorly conflicting emotions over this fanmix.  I am both extremely proud of it and extremely nervous about it and I feel like I should apologize for a great many things in it (like that there’s too much rock, or that for goodness sake it has a Scarlett Johansson song on it, or that there’s a live track on it, or that it took me too long to make).
